Prof. Paul Wylleman (Belgium)</strong><br /><br />Paul Wylleman is professor at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussel where he teaches Sport psychology, mental training and support throughout the athletic career and Career and lifestyle management for athletes. He has published and presented on, amongst others, mental skills development, sport psychology support provision, and career and life style management of talented and elite athletes. During the past 20 years, Paul has been a sport psychology consultant to Olympic, elite and talented athletes in tennis, swimming, figure ice skating, judo, fencing, athletics, archery, as well as on-site support during European and World Championships, Grand Slams and Olympic Games. He is President of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC) and co-ordinator of the European Forum for Applied Sport psychologists in Topsport (FAST) which brings together sport psychology service providers working with elite and Olympic athletes and teams from around Europe.<br /><strong><br />3. Prof. Wendy Brown (Australia)</strong><br /><br />Wendy Brown is Professor of Physical Activity and Health in the School of Human Movement Studies at the University of Queensland.&nbsp; She has conducted numerous studies which aim to improve measurement and understanding of physical activity throughout the adult life-span, as well as intervention trials with various population groups, including women from non-English speaking backgrounds, mothers of young children, and residents of retirement villages.&nbsp; Wendy was the lead investigator on the '10,000 steps Rockhampton' project - a multi-strategy intervention project which sought to activate the 60,000 residents of Rockhampton in Central Queensland.&nbsp; More recently her intervention work has focused on the role of physical activity in the prevention and management of chronic disease in the baby boomer generation.&nbsp; Over the last fifteen years Wendy's work on the Australian Longitudinal Study of Women's Health has focused on identifying the determinants of inactivity and weight gain in women, and on dose-response relationships between activity, weight and health outcomes.&nbsp; The role of sitting time in as an independent determinant of weight gain and chronic disease outcomes is an area of critical enquiry in Wendy's current research program.<br /><br /><strong>4. Prof. Mark Tremblay (Canada)</strong><br /><br />Dr. Mark Tremblay has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Sports Administration and a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree from Laurentian University. His graduate training was from the University of Toronto where he obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department of Community Health with a specialty in Exercise Science. Dr. Tremblay is the Director of Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research (HALO) at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute and Professor of Pediatrics in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, where he is also cross-appointed to the School of Human Kinetics, the Department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine and the Ph.D. Program in Population Health. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Chief Scientific Officer of Active Healthy Kids Canada, Chair of the ParticipACTION Research Advisory Group, Chair of the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines Project, Chair of the Canadian Health Measures Survey Expert Advisory Committee and former Dean of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Tremblay has published more than 160 papers and book chapters in the areas of childhood obesity, physical activity measurement, exercise physiology, exercise endocrinology and health surveillance. He has delivered over 450 scholarly conference presentations, including more than 120 invited and keynote addresses, in 15 countries. Dr. Tremblay recently received an honorary doctorate from Nipissing University for his leadership contributions to healthy active living in Canada. Dr. Tremblay&rsquo;s most productive work has resulted from his 23-year marriage to his wife Helen, yielding four wonderful children.<br /><br />In addition to these international presenters, delegates attending the event will also have the opportunity to learn from other local and international presenters covering a range of topics on the following tracks:</p>
