Julie Perks

Julie Perks works in both private and public sector and has a love for food and presenting nutritional science in an easy to understand way. She graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN) with a BSc in Dietetics in 2006 and completed her postgraduate diploma in Dietetics in 2007. Following that she did her community service in Emmaus in the Drakensberg and continued in the government sector gaining invaluable nutrition management knowledge until 2010 when she moved to a semi-private hospital where she still currently works a half day position.

She has been in private practice for 6 years now. Julie appreciates the opportunity she has to enjoy her job on a daily basis and meet and interact with clients. She always strives to improve her dietetic knowledge and is now grateful for the opportunity to serve as chairperson on our KZN ADSA committee and hopes to provide a valuable service to all the dietitians in KZN and South Africa working with her dynamic and passionate committee.
