Janke Wessels

I matriculated in 2008 from High School Standerton, I obtained my MSc degree in dietetics 2017 my BSc degree in Dietetics from the University of the Free State in 2012. I achieved Golden Key Membership in 2010. In 2012 I won first prize for the research project (Title: Perceptions, attitudes and practices of undergraduate students at the University of the Free State regarding dietary supplements and alternative drinks) in the School of Allied and overall third place in the Faculty of Health Sciences. I completed my community service in 2013 at Pelonomi Regional Hospital where I mostly worked in the Maternity and Gynaecology wards and surrounding clinics. I have completed the Tertiary Preliminary Wine course in 2009 and the 20 hour Breastfeeding and Lactation Management course in 2012. I attended the Nutrition Congress (Transforming the Nutrition Landscape in Africa), in Bloemfontein 2012 and the Nutrition Congress (Optimal Nutrition for all) in Johannesburg 2014. I am currently a Dietitian at Standerton TB hospital. An active and healthy lifestyle has always been very important to me. I am a motivated person, who strives to meet the goals I set for myself.
